This is my method for making stained glass suncatchers or stained glass graphics in Paint Shop Pro. I use The Anniversary Edition Version 7. It is fairly easy, but does require a working knowledge of PSP. There are other methods out there and very good ones too, but if you're like most Paint Shop users like myself, and have TONS of things already in your Paint Shop files, this is a method that minimizes the need for lots of files to be added to Paint Shop, and with time and patience gives the same or very similar effect. It does not require use of layers, alpha channels, or any special plug in as BladePro, or any filters not standard in PSP.
There are lots of patterns available, and some of the best come from Spectrum Glass. Free for business or personal usage. No restrictions. But please their site for Terms of Use, in the event their terms change.
Stained Glass samples. These are available from Spectrum Glass as well. These need to be placed into your "textures" files of Paint Shop Pro after resizing to 100X100. They will appear as black and white, but this is corrected when choosing your colors later on in this tutorial. Choose several textures for interesting and varied effects. I have included some samples on page two for you to use.
A stained glass pattern or piece of black and white clipart. If you do not have an image you wish to use. I have put one here you may use, right click and save to your own files. These after completion make stunning graphics.
